Conditions Of Entry (Maliau Basin)
Maliau Basin Conservation Area is a Class
1 (Protection) Forest Reserve, under the Sabah Forestry
Enactment 1968.
Please remember:

No taking, cutting or damaging of plant
or animal material, whether alive or dead, including
flowers, leaves, roots, branches, seeds, fruits, feathers,
nests, fungi or any wood, stones or rocks.

No writing on trees or rocks with pens or
paint or carving with knives/parangs.

No dropping of litter, including
cigarette butts. All rubbish should be brought out if
possible, or disposed of using the facilities provided at Maliau Basin
Studies Centre or Agathis Camp.

That visitors are not allowed to
carry out any forms of research without approval from the Maliau Basin Management Committee (MBMC)
Visitors' bags will be checked on departure
from MBCA if necessary.
