Headline: MBCA Management project

‘MBCA Management project’ was designated in December, 2000 as an DIVERSITAS International Biodiversity Observation Year 2001-2002 (IBOY) (one of three in Asia so far) Satellite Project.

DIVERSITAS is an international initiative supported by several organizations including UNESCO and IUCN.

Participation in IBOY paves ways for 1) International awareness of the Management of Maliau Basin Conservation Area project to be brought forefront and, 2) opportunities for networking and cross-collaboration of scientific agendas of nations and international organization to be established.
